GABRIELLA GIACONI
It is an eclectic curiosity that pushes her towards different artistic sectors and her creative gesture is always aimed at harmony. The intent of artistic inspiration has never been to shock and disturb, but rather to attract and reassure, to arouse some harmony in the viewer, a feeling of inner peace that refers to Matisse's quote:
”…….an art of balance, purity, quiet, devoid of any content that can disturb or disquiet; an art that is for anyone who carries out an intellectual activity, for example a businessman or a man of letters, a sort of balm, that is, one that has a consoling effect on the mind; something similar to a comfortable armchair that gives relief from the fatigue of the body”

Who am I
Gabriella Giaconi was born in Florence in 1967. Her education began at the Liceo Artistico “Firenze 2” and continued at the Accademia di Belle di Arti in Florence where she attended the sculpture course. She completed her studies in 1989 and in the same year, on the occasion of the Antonio Berti exhibition on the Ponte Vecchio, she exhibited the work “Busto di donna”.
In the figurative field, the years of study at the Academy were those of deep investigation at all levels, from the anatomical to the psychological, which have formed a reference baggage to draw from each time in a different way, shaping each subject according to the evocative spirit of the moment and the place. The same pathos is poured into the choice of material and colors to use.
Alongside her initial sculptural production, Gabriella trained in the conservative restoration of monuments, increasing her experience on the characteristics of stones. Daughter of goldsmiths, Gabriella also had the opportunity to apply herself in goldsmith-artistic creations on commission, establishing, over time, profitable collaborations with important brands in the sector: in a short time she was able to present her own artistic creation in precious metal such as the line of zodiac signs with pre-Columbian influence.
After creating a life-size copy of Michelangelo's “The Creation of Adam,” Gabriella fell in love with interior mural painting, which soon became her main occupation.
